    Zim's Music Trading Server R.E.M./Phish/Dead/Etc... Revision 1/3/97
================================================================================
Howdy fellow tape traders! Here is the one and only list of Zim's Music for
trade. Each entry is a separate live concert, or compilation that I have
stored on metal or chrome cassette tape, vinyl, or CD. Many of the entries are
the "original" pressing of that particular bootleg. There are two lists, a long
and a short. The short version is just a title/date/Quality/Source/Length list.
The longer list includes set lists and comments too.

I have traded for ALL of these tapes through the e-mail and through murmur
(the now defunct REM mailing list) except for the first two I ever owned,
which I bought at a record show. So needless to say, no money will ever pass
through my hands in dealing with tape trades. If you can get those first
couple of boots to start with, a little work will bring you a list such as I
have here. Please do not ask me to trade tapes for money. I usually refuse
to even discuss it.

Each listing is organized like this:

*Title/Description. Date Quality Source Length

The date is an approximation unless the exact one is known. The quality is
ranked on a 5 point scale. 5.0 is damn near perfect and quite rare to find.
A 4.0 is excellent and easy to listen to, but may show some signs of being an
amateur recording, or may have some small amount of noise... 3.0 is what you
might expect from a novice, but is still VERY listenable. 2.0 and 1.0 are
reserved for poor recordings, and should be considered for avid collectors
only.

The source is usually a soundboard (SBD) tape or an audience (AUD) recording.
Soundboard means that someone had a direct line between the sound mixing board
at the concert, and their tape deck. The recordings I have on vinyl and CD or
those obtained through other means will also be listed under source. (i.e. FM,
STU=studio, etc...)

What can you offer me that isn't already on the list? I'd like to continue
finding some of the original "bootleg" releases in the original cover and in
good physical condition. I have made trades in the past for a bunch of tapes
of bootlegs in exchange for one real bootleg. If you want to expand your
collection into tape, and are getting tired of that vinyl boot, record it, then
send me the original in exchange for a predetermined number of my tapes.

I'm also looking for other rare stuff like singles, radio promo singles,
(vinyl or CD) or import singles. Any promo item, even coasters, books, key-
chains, cans, etc... Hey, if you think I might like it, ask me.

In general I like to trade stuff on Maxell XLII or XLII-S tapes with no
dolby used. I will gladly buy/record to the trader's wishes however, including
other tape types/brands, and the use of Dolby B or C. My recording tape deck
is an Aiwa AD-R505 with HX-Pro. My source deck is a JVC TD-W318 with the same
goodies, and an added feature to correct fast or slow recordings. You send me
the item I want to trade for. I buy your tapes and record on them, then we just
trade through the mail.
