January 23, 2006 Last summer, I kept telling myself that this winter I would touch up a few of the things I knew were wrong under the hood. I finally got the generator painted completely black, including the mounting plates. I also cleaned up and resprayed the area around the master cylinder, and some of the parts around the hood latch release. Finally, I resprayed some of the peeling paint on the front of the engine. I found an epoxy satin black paint that seems to be a great match for the satin paint already on everything in there. The brand was VHT and it was purchased from Summit Racing's website.
