November 22, 2009

During the trip to Corn Feed 9.0 in Des Moines, we got a lot of rain while
out on one of our day trips. The leak that i have seen from time to time
along the inside of the upper windshield trim has now gotten to the point
where the car is pretty much undriveable in the rain.

So I am going into the trim and the frame around the windshield to try to
figure out where the gaskets or glazing are lacking.

January 3, 2010

What I found was that when the windshield was replaced, there was really no
attempt to reseal any of the trim around the window.

So I emptied a couple of tubes of 3M bedding and glazing compound and
reinstalled the stainless trim.

I guess I will need to get caught in the rain again before I know if it works!
