July 21-24, 2005 We finally got a good group to drive together on a long trip this week! It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. All cars made it to Omaha, and all of them made it back: The weather was hot, but we were able to make the best of it. We wound up all hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel late into the night instead of being out there when the sun was up. The track was a cool experience too. Got to see Bob and a few others out there - including lots of rented 2005 V6's. The museum on Saturday was also very cool. Lots of cars that are extremely rare or even one of a kind. When's the last time you got to stick your head into the drivers window of a '48 Tucker? There were also some adventures along the way. A couple different cars had minor issues along the way (but not mine!) :) but all was worked out in the end. I'm glad we all went, and am looking forward to next year already! -Zim
