I posted on the Falcon Forum that I was looking for a new rear end for this
project, and sure enough, another member in the Chicago area had one out of
a 63 Falcon (but not a Ranchero). It looked close enough to me, so I took it.

Once I got it home, I realized that the Ranchero's brake drums were different.
The Axles appear to be the same, but the truck brakes are deeper, and wrap
back around the axle tubes more than on the car.

So we dicided to just take the good brakes off of the old ruined pumpkin,
and put them on the new one.

Everything lined up perfectly, and I was finally ready to install a good
new rear end onto the Ranchero.

Once that was in place, the leaky trans was the only thing keeping me from
driving it!
